The reason for the dates

The Fourth falls on a Sunday in 2027

Which means the whole weekend belongs to it, and Monday 5 July is the observed federal holiday.

Fly out Thursday, come home Monday, and the only leave you spend is Thursday and Friday. Two days for a five day weekend with the Fourth itself sitting in the middle of it. That is the entire reason these are the dates.

What this is

A long weekend that asks nothing of you

Most of what Majestic Dream Vacations builds is long, considered and demanding in the best way. This is not that. This is four nights adults only and all inclusive, one very good day on the water, and a weekend that belongs to you.

We are based in the middle of Playa del Carmen rather than fifteen minutes outside it, so Fifth Avenue starts a short walk from the front door and runs forty blocks along the sea with no cars on it. You can spend the whole trip on the resort's beach if you want to. You can also be eating somewhere else by eight without arranging a car.

Who it is for

This journey suits you if

You want the holiday without the planning

Flights land, someone is waiting, the wristband goes on and the questions stop. Everything on the resort is already paid for, and the group evenings are already booked. You just turn up.

You have two days of leave and no more

Thursday and Friday buys you five days. For a lot of people this is the only international trip of the year that actually fits, which is exactly why we built it.

You are travelling as adults

Couples, friend groups and solo travellers joining a group. The resort is adults only, so this is a grown-up weekend by design. If you are travelling as a family, talk to us and we will build you something else.

Day by day

Itinerary

Five days, four nights, Cancun in and Cancun out. A welcome dinner, a pool party, a night out, an open day, the catamaran on the Fourth itself, and a farewell dinner.

1 Jul

Arrival, and a welcome in white

Fly into Cancun International, where your transfer is waiting for the hour down the coast. Check in at the Hyatt Vivid and let the all inclusive start doing its work. The trip opens properly at 6:00 PM with a meet and greet at La Mejorada, then a welcome dinner at La Casona at 7:00 PM. Handcrafted drinks, local and international cooking, and the first chance to put faces to the people you are spending the weekend with. Attire is white, so plan the outfit before you pack.

2 Jul

Pool party by day, the club by night

A daytime pool party at the resort. Sun, music, drinks, and the easiest kind of socialising there is: float, lounge, or sit at the bar and talk to people. Attire is tropical, bright colours and loud prints encouraged. Then the evening moves out, to a club in the Playa del Carmen area with the music and the crowd this coast is known for. Dress up. The venue is confirmed closer to the date, and the club night is at your own cost: entry, drinks and getting there are not in your package price.

3 Jul

Playa del Carmen and Fifth Avenue

The open day, deliberately unstructured. Fifth Avenue runs forty blocks parallel to the sea with no cars on it, lined with shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Wander it, eat slowly, watch people, or cut down a side street to the beach and spend the day on the sand instead. Nothing is scheduled and nothing needs to be.

4 Jul

Independence Day on the water, and a farewell in black

The day the trip is named for, and the biggest day on the itinerary. A catamaran cruise to Isla Mujeres, out over the turquoise water with music on board and a proper party atmosphere. Time to swim, time to snorkel, time to sit on deck and watch the coast go past. Pickup is from the Hyatt Vivid, so be ready ten minutes before your departure time. Bring swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen and a small day bag, and nautical attire if you want the theme. The evening closes the trip with a farewell group dinner in Playa del Carmen. Venue confirmed closer to the date, and attire is black. The farewell dinner is at your own cost: we book the table and bring everyone together, you order what you want and settle your own bill.

5 Jul

Departure

Breakfast, a last hour by the water if your flight allows it, and a transfer back to Cancun International. Monday 5 July is the observed holiday at home, so most travellers land with a day still in hand before the working week.

Where you stay

Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen

All four nights. Adults only, all inclusive, and every room is a suite. It sits on Avenida Constituyentes, which puts it on the beach at the northern end of town and a short walk from the top of Fifth Avenue. That location is the reason it was chosen over the bigger resorts further out.

Two pools, one of them Olympic sized, eight places to eat and five bars. Meals, snacks, drinks including alcohol, daily activities, nightly entertainment, wifi and all resort taxes and service charges are inside the plan.

After you reserve

What happens next

1

You get it in writing

A written confirmation of your place, your occupancy and the total you owe. If you are taking a payment plan, the dates and amounts are set out in writing before you pay anything.

2

We sort the room

If you are sharing, we confirm who with. If you booked single occupancy, that is already held. Bedding preferences are collected now rather than at check-in.

3

Airfare, if you want us to

Airfare is not in the price, and we are happy to quote and book it for you. Doing it at deposit rather than later is usually cheaper.

4

Everything you need before you fly

Final payment is due 7 May 2027. After that you get your pre-departure information: entry requirements, transfer times, what the resort does and does not cover, and how to reach us while you are there.

5

Once the group fills, someone travels with it

When ten or more travellers have paid, a Majestic Dream Vacations host comes with the group. Below that number the trip runs without one, and you have a named contact at Majestic Dream Vacations who handles anything that comes up while you are away.

Before you book

Practical matters

Getting there

Fly into Cancun International on Thursday 1 July 2027 and home on Monday 5 July. Transfers both ways are included. Cancun has nonstop service from Philadelphia and most large US cities, and we can quote your airfare when you deposit.

Adults only

The Hyatt Vivid does not accommodate children, so this trip cannot take them. If you are travelling as a family over the Fourth, tell us and we will design something that works instead.

Passports and entry

A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. Entry requirements change, so we confirm the current process with you in writing before you travel rather than leaving you to check.

Pace and physical demands

Low. The resort days ask nothing at all. The catamaran involves boarding and moving around a boat under way, with significant sun and limited shade on deck. Swimming and snorkelling are entirely optional.

Weather

Early July on this coast is warm, humid and green. Around 90F with high humidity, and short heavy afternoon showers that clear as fast as they arrive. Mornings are usually bright and the sea sits around 83F.

About the seaweed

Sargassum is a seasonal feature of this coastline and how much arrives varies day to day with the wind. The resort clears its beach daily. It is also why the catamaran day goes to Isla Mujeres, where the water stays clear through the summer, and why an Olympic sized pool matters here more than it would elsewhere.
