Before you travel

Travel insurance

Three providers we work with, and a quote link for each. You do not have to be travelling with us to use them.

Most of what a trip costs stops being refundable well before you leave. Insurance is the part of planning that decides what happens if the trip does not go ahead, or does not go to plan once you are away.

We are not licensed to sell travel insurance, so we do not sell it and we do not advise on it. What we can do is point you at the providers we work with, and let you compare them yourself.

Three providers

Preferred partner

Travel Insured

The provider we work with most often, and the one to tell if the cost of your trip changes after you have bought a policy.

Keep your policy current

Your quote is based on the total cost of your trip and your age. If anything is added to the trip after you buy a policy, tell your insurer so the cover can be adjusted. A policy written against a lower trip cost may not cover the difference.

The fine print

What we can and cannot help with

Can you tell me what a policy covers?

No. We are not licensed to sell travel insurance and we are not authorised to advise on it. Questions about what is covered, what is excluded, pre-existing conditions, or how to make a claim go to the provider you buy from, not to us. Their websites set out coverage and policy terms in full.

Do I have to be travelling with you?

No. These links are open to anyone. You do not need to have booked a trip with us, joined a group departure, or be planning to.

Do you earn anything if I buy through these links?

Yes. We receive a commission if you buy a policy using the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. We are telling you because you should know it before you click, not after.

It does not change what we recommend. Travel Insured is listed first because it is the provider we work with most often, and all three are here so that you can compare rather than take one quote as the only option.

Which one should I choose?

That is genuinely not ours to answer, and anyone in our position who tells you otherwise is overstepping. Get a quote from more than one, read what each covers, and pick on the cover and the price rather than on our say so.
