Final payment due soon

Final payment is due 31 October 2026. Reservations must be made no later than 60 days before departure. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable; cancel before the final payment date and later payments become a non-transferable travel credit, after it nothing is refundable or transferable.

This is an adults-only sailing, which is the point of it. Five nights with no schedule to keep, a New Year’s Eve you spend somewhere in the Atlantic rather than in a queue, and two island days on either side of it.

Virgin Voyages includes more in the fare than most cruise lines do. Dining across all of the ship’s eateries, still and sparkling water, juices, soda, tea and drip coffee, Wi-Fi, group fitness classes and the day at the Beach Club at Bimini are all covered before you board.

Holiday sailings fill early, and cabins are held in the order deposits arrive rather than in the order enquiries do.

Day by day

Itinerary

Two days at sea, a New Year’s Day in Puerto Plata, and a full beach day in Bimini before Miami.

Day 1

Wednesday 30 December · Miami, Florida

Arrive at PortMiami, check in and board Scarlet Lady. The ship is scheduled to depart at 5:00 PM local time, and everyone should be aboard no later than an hour before that, so plan flights with room rather than to the minute.

Day 2

Thursday 31 December · New Year’s Eve at sea

A full day aboard: the pools, the spa, a fitness class, made to order dining, or nothing at all. In the evening the ship counts down to 2027 with its own New Year’s Eve celebration.

Day 3

Friday 1 January · Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

In port from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. Walk the historic centre and Fortaleza San Felipe, spend the day on the coast, or take an optional excursion: the Damajagua waterfalls, a cultural tour, a beach escape, or Ocean World Adventure Park.

Day 4

Saturday 2 January · At sea

A second sea day to slow down before the final island stop. The restaurants, the entertainment and the ocean, at whatever pace you want to take them.

Day 5

Sunday 3 January · The Beach Club at Bimini, Bahamas

In port from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM local time. White sand, pools, live music and Beach Club dining, all included. Cabanas and the premium Beach Club experiences are bookable separately.

Day 6

Monday 4 January · Back to Miami

Scarlet Lady is scheduled to arrive in Miami at 6:30 AM local time. Allow extra time for the gangway to open and for disembarkation before booking anything onward.

Ports can move

Port order, arrival and departure times, and scheduled experiences are all subject to change by the cruise line. The times above are what is scheduled today rather than a guarantee.

Before you book

Important notes

Will a Majestic Dream Vacations host travel with the group?

When ten or more travellers have paid, a Majestic Dream Vacations host travels with the group. Below that number the trip runs without one, and you have a named contact at Majestic Dream Vacations who handles anything that comes up while you are away.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes. Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise line, and every guest has to meet its minimum age requirement at the time of sailing. This is not a sailing children can join.

Is my deposit refundable?

The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel before the final payment due date, payments made after the deposit can be applied as a travel credit toward a future booking with us. The credit is non-transferable and valid for one year from the date you cancel. After that date, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. That is why travel insurance is worth taking rather than merely considering, particularly on a holiday sailing booked this far ahead.

Can I change who is travelling?

Name changes are not permitted. A name correction, for a spelling that does not match a passport, carries a fee of $100 and has to reach us in writing 40 days before departure, or earlier if the airline requires it.

When do I have to book and pay by?

Final payment is due 31 October 2026, and reservations must be made no later than 60 days before departure. Cabins at the starting price are limited and are allocated first come, first served as deposits arrive.

Is the price fixed?

No. Pricing is still being finalised and stays subject to change and availability until your reservation is confirmed. It is reconfirmed at the time of booking, and your card is not charged before that.

What documents do I need?

You are responsible for carrying the passport, identification, visas and any other documents the sailing requires. Tell us your citizenship at booking and we will confirm what applies to you in good time, rather than you finding out at the pier.
